Episode 18 - Chris Rose

Baseball has returned!  The Turners discuss what the baseball looked like during the first week of the season.  Kourtney offers the fan perspective of no fans in the stands, extra innings rules and all the feelings that come with watching baseball again.  Sports broadcaster and co-host of MLB Network’s Intentional Talk Chris Rose joins the show.  He’ll chat about the role he plays on IT, that famous IT Mojo, his love for Cleveland sports, some iconic sports movies, and we’ll get his thoughts on the 2020 MLB rule changes.  

Episode 17 - Dave Roberts

Opening Day 2020 is finally here so who better to have on the show this week than Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts?  He will share his journey to becoming a manager, his passion for wine, how he builds relationships with his players, life as a dad, if he ever questions his managerial decisions, what the quarantine was like for him and his family, his desire to spread positivity and if we're lucky, he'll share his signature cocktail recipe.  

 

 

 

 

Episode 16 - George Lombard

The Turners discuss the left fielder, Francisco 'Chico' Herrera, making web gems for the Dodgers during their intrasquad games.  Justin and Kourtney hosted a cast reunion for The Sandlot and they'll explain how it felt interacting with them all for a good cause.  Former MLB player and current Dodgers first base coach, George Lombard, joins the pod this week.  He shares how quarantine has allowed him to dive deeper into his family history, especially with his mother's role as a civil rights activist.  He shares his journey through baseball, how he got into coaching and provides some insight on the upcoming season.  We'll learn the unique ways he connects with players as a coach.  

Episode 15 - Jon SooHoo

Holding Kourt welcomes Los Angeles Dodgers Team Photographer, Jon SooHoo as a guest this week!  He is a fourth generation Chinese American and Los Angeles Native, as well as a graduate of John Marshall High School and the University of Southern California. We’ll hear all about his role in capturing some of the most iconic moments in LA sports.  Who caught his first pitch when the Dodgers honored him for 25 years as the team photographer?  What feared lefty did Jon once hire to shoot photos for The Daily Trojan?  What is his all-time favorite photograph he has shot?

Episode 14 - Micah Johnson

The Turners are joined by artist Micah Johnson on the podcast this week.  He recalls how an icebreaker activity created by Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts led him to his passion beyond baseball.  He shares how he is using his artwork to inspire people, young and old, in these times of civil unrest.

Episode 13 - BASEBALL IS BACK!

This is not a drill. Baseball is back! Justin and Kourtney discuss what the 2020 MLB season will look like now that a season has been announced.  They go over all of the positives and address some common concerns moving into Spring Training 2.0.  They discuss the recent MLB Network documentary "Junior" that dove into the career of Ken Griffey Jr. from high school all the way to his MLB Hall of Fame induction ceremony.  The Turners share some shows they're currently binge-watching.

Episode 12 - Brad Paisley

Country singer/songwriter Brad Paisley discusses everything he's been up to during quarantine and the unique ways he has stayed connected to fans.  The Turners ask him what it has been like to share his phone number on Instagram.  He tells the story of how he met his wife, with a little help from a classic movie, a music video and a bold move.  They'll share some memories from past concerts and Dodger games.  Brad offers to sing the National Anthem for a very special upcoming event.  He shares details about the Nashville non-profit, The Store, that he co-founded with his wife, Kimberly.

Episode 11 - Co-host Clint Carlton, MLB, USC, WWE, and Disneyland

Kourtney and Justin are joined by their very first "in studio" co-host, Clint Carlton.  Clint helped create the Justin Turner Foundation and is a director of the LA Dream Center.  He recaps the last few months on the DC drive-thru food line and shares where they plan to go from here.  The Turners react to Pastor Matthew dedicating the newly created Food Bank to them.  The three will also chat about the current state of MLB, fair-weather sports fans, USC finally reinstating Reggie Bush, Clint's WWE fandom, and the plan to reopen Disneyland.   

Episode 10 - Guest Jen Utley, The Match II, and Walk-Up Songs

The Turners give their take on last weekend's charity golf tournament, The Match II.  Kourtney & Justin chat with Jennifer about her recently launched blog, Vetted, which combines her longtime dedication to animal activism and love for fashion.  She'll walk us down memory lane to share how her and husband Chase founded the Utley Foundation, which was established in 2010 to bring awareness to the increasing epidemic of animal cruelty.  She offers her advice for exploring your passions and how it's never too late to pursue them.  They read listener responses in #YourTurn about walk-up songs and share a special musical treat from LA Dodgers organist, Dieter Ruehle. 

Episode 9 - Quarantine Life Continues, The Last Dance Episodes 9 & 10, & Sending Fan Mail To Celebrities

Justin & Kourtney give an update on the Justin Turner Foundation's involvement in the Covid-19 relief efforts, as well as their appearance at the West LA VA Medical Center's Salute to Heroes event.  Kourtney talks about the Judge Judys during the reopening of businesses post-quarantine.  And although they aren't ready for it to be over, they'll send off The Last Dance with their thoughts on the final two episodes.  They share their own experiences with writing fan mail to celebrities as part of the social media segment #YourTurn.
